For Immediate Release

Whitehorse, YT – Yukon University Board of Governors has a new chair. Christine Mahar has accepted the role, following appointment by Order in Council. During her career she held several senior-level finance positions in Government of Yukon. She retired from assignment as Deputy Minister of Finance prior to her appointment to the Yukon University Board of Governors in 2020. Mahar was previously the Board’s Vice Chair and chaired its Governance Committee.
