CNIM is more than mine training

CNIM creates a direct link between researchers and industry, by facilitating applied mining research and development projects. This coordinated, holistic approach addresses specific northern challenges and opportunities in the mining industry.

Our goal is to help develop new and better practices that make mining sustainable, foster innovation, and train highly qualified personnel.

CNIM works closely with the YukonU Research Centre (YRC), faculty, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship to create a multi-disciplinary, innovative, and co-operative work environment. YukonU has access to some of the best and brightest minds engaged in applied northern research, with on-the-ground expertise, a cutting-edge laboratory, and close cooperation with other institutions across the country.
