Yukon University is committed to Human Resource practices that reflect the values of the institution. The Human Resources Committee is a Standing Committee of the Yukon University Board of Governors that ensures the University adhere to these values while delivering Human Resources services that conform to current Human Resource practice and principles of labour and employment law.
The key outcome for the Committee is that the Board of Governors is kept apprised of any policy changes related to Human Resources; as well as succession planning and executive compensation. Permalink

Board Members who have resigned or whose terms of service have expired resulting in retirement shall be formally acknowledged for their service to the Board of Governors. Permalink
Yukon University may name facilities and academic entities to recognize support that it has accepted from individuals, corporations, organizations and foundations, (“philanthropic naming” and “sponsorship naming”) and honour legacy contributions from individuals who have had a pivotal impact on the history and evolution of the institution (“honorific naming”).

Yukon University seeks to foster an active and ongoing relationship with former University presidents who have retired in good standing. Maintaining such relationships allows the University to benefit from the ongoing contributions of a former president and allows the former president to use the institution’s name in connection with ongoing community and academic endeavors.
