Weight room

Fitness Centre hours

The Fitness Centre (weight room) is open 6am-10pm every day in bookable slots.
For safety reasons, we cannot currently allow people to work out alone. Please choose a time that already has a reservation, or invite a friend to book with you.
To limit the spread of COVID-19, capacity is limited to 8 people at a time (beginning March 3rd).

Drop-in sports hours

Drop-in to play with your fellow students: Over the spring and summer terms, the gymnasium is open Fridays 6pm-10pm and Sundays, 4pm-8pm.

Please note that the gym will be closed from May 29th through June 6 to set up and take down for Convocation.

Gymnasium/Fitness Centre Rules

Proper footwear must be worn. Clean, indoor shoes only; outdoor shoes, bare feet, socks, sandals, work boots or dress shoes are not acceptable. Any outdoor shoes must be left in the designated shoe storage area or changeroom locker.

Use of sporting equipment in the Gymnasium must be approved to avoid damage to the facility. 

Bookings are required to use the Fitness Centre. Using the Fitness Centre without a booking, or other unsafe behaviour, may lead to being denied access to the Fitness Centre.

Covid-19 Measures In Place

As of March 18, 2022:

  • the YukonU vaccine requirement is suspended (*except Campus Housing).
  • Masks are recommended, at your personal discretion, when in public spaces, classrooms or offices where physical distance cannot be maintained (*except Campus Housing).

As always, if you are symptomatic or show positive on a COVID-19 test please stay home to recover.
