First Nations Student Navigators

First Nations Student Navigators work individually with Indigenous students to ensure they have access to the resources, information, and comprehensive, holistic support they require. Navigators help students during the application process, provide funding advising, and facilitate supportive referrals to resources. Whether you are considering YukonU and don’t know where to start or preparing for Graduation, the First Nations Student Navigators are here for you!

First Nations Student Navigators can help with:

  • Assisting with course registration
  • Exploring funding options through your First Nation
  • Helping you navigate systemic barriers
  • Facilitating on-campus referrals, and more

First Nations Student Engagement Coordinator 

The First Nations Student Engagement Coordinator creates welcoming spaces and community-building activities for students. Their programming and initiatives support Indigenous student well-being and sense of belonging outside of the classroom. The First Nations Student Engagement Coordinator works with students, staff and faculty across all thirteen campuses to promote and support Indigenous student life.

The First Nations Student Engagement Coordinator can help with: 

  • Creating social and cultural events outside of the classroom
  • Offering community-building activities and opportunities to get involved
  • Facilitating connections with the Elders on Campus Program, Student Engagement Coordinator, and more
