HRAC 005 - Onboarding & Mentoring
Strong onboarding and mentoring programs are critical to integrating employees effectively and driving engagement, retention, and performance.
This course explores onboarding, orientation, and mentoring as key components of HR practice, with a focus on supporting employee integration, engagement, and retention. Participants will apply practical tools and frameworks to design or enhance onboarding and mentoring programs aligned with organizational goals. The course also examines how onboarding processes influence workplace culture, employee retention, and motivation.
This course is designed for anyone involved in or interested in improving the processes of onboarding, orientation, and mentoring to better integrate employees, enhance workplace culture, and support long-term employee success, including:
- Leaders of Organizations
- HR Professionals and HR Consultants
- Training and Development Specialists
- Policy Makers and Program Developers
- Team Leaders and Supervisors
By the end of this course, participants will:
- Clearly understand and define the concepts of orientation, onboarding, and mentoring and their roles in employee integration.
- Identify and apply best practices for effective orientation, onboarding, and mentoring programs to enhance employee integration and satisfaction.
- Articulate the business case for onboarding, including its impact on employee retention, motivation, and overall job satisfaction.
- Analyze and apply strategies to align onboarding processes with organizational culture to ensure new employees are effectively integrated and engaged.
- Create or refresh comprehensive onboarding and mentoring programs tailored to organizational needs and goals.
- Apply knowledge of onboarding and mentoring practices to improve employee retention and motivation within the organization.
