PROP CE07 - Grant and Proposal Writing

New 2-day format

Proposals are persuasive documents used to apply for funding or grants. Non-profit organizations and business owners alike use proposals to secure investment in their goals, projects, and missions.

In this course, you'll learn the fundamentals of grant writing including the identification of suitable funding sources, building strong relationships with funders, understand how to plan and budget for your project, and identify the most common reasons proposals are unsuccessful. Throughout this process, you will create a clear vision for your project, draft a compelling project description, and practice creating a budget that aligns with your project plan. You'll also have the opportunity to receive feedback from an experienced grant writer and peers, refining your skills through real-time input.

By the end of the course, you’ll walk away with a solid foundation for a grant or proposal, ready to submit or further develop. The course will equip you with the tools to navigate the writing process and clearly convey your ideas to meet funding agency requirements—ensuring that you’re prepared to elevate your proposal and advance your organization’s missions and projects.
