JUST CE137 - Transformational Leadership: Segment A – The Resilient Leader

Transformational Leadership Begins Within

In this half-day workshop, you will discover how to create the energy, confidence and optimism you want in order to thrive as a leader in your workplace and day-to-day life. The journey starts with debunking myths and maximizing the leadership skills you already have as a steppingstone towards investing valuable time in a broader developmental plan. Come and engage in the process of unleashing your life force. Learn how to design your own mental resiliency practice, a way of being as a leader that will bring you resiliency and optimism, both at work and at home.

This workshop introduces participants to the theory of whole-brain leadership and the EQEX VIDA Entera Resiliency Framework that is designed to foster mental resiliency and optimism.

Participants will be able to:

• Recognize the six neural pathways of Dr. Tara Swart’s whole-brain leadership approach.
• Understand the energy equation and physical practices of creating optimal conditions for brain function.
• Examine and debunk myths about leadership and human development.
• Understand the VIDA Entera Resiliency Framework and explore each of the four foundational practices through the lens of personal and professional experiences.
• Examine how mental resiliency connects to the five composite scales of emotional intelligence and how you can self-access your resiliency and optimism as well as gather evidence about your impact as a leader.
• Identify and explore additional resources and personalized support to translate your mental resiliency goals into a reality that will enable you to become a transformational leader capable of bringing out the best in yourself and others.

The instructor acknowledges there is a diversity in learning styles and will use a variety of activities, including presentation, storytelling, reflective inquiry and facilitated group discussion. Participants will be provided with a resource list and workshop materials.

Instructor Nicole Morgan has diverse professional experience of more than 30 years as an educator and executive leader within the public service.
