FNDS 102 - Foundations in Indigenous Governance: Academic Skills

This course will introduce government, academic and other professional communication relevant to the Indigenous Governance Degree (IGD) program. Students will learn the form, function and application of key documents such as emails, memos, research papers, briefing notes, etc. as well as principles of communications in a professional environment. Through a series of writing workshops and guest speakers, this course is designed to set students up for academic success with the tools for academic preparedness while encouraging individual voice. Through workshops this course will build confidence and familiarity with academic systems while providing strategies for bridging academic and Indigenous ways of knowing.

Note: Students registering for this class also need to register for FNDS 100 and FNDS 101.
