ADMN 008 - Essential Administrative Professional
Administrative assistants play a key role in most office environments.
This workshop will give new administrative assistants the core skills that will help them use resources efficiently, manage time wisely, communicate effectively and collaborate with others skillfully. Experienced administrative assistants will learn new tools that will make them more efficient and valuable than ever in the workplace.
Upon successful completion, you will have begun to develop the following skills:
- Effective time management
- Enhanced organizational skills
- Improved communications skills, both written and verbal
- Self-confidence and empowerment to handle new challenges and responsibilities.
This training is designed for professionals and paraprofessionals working in social services and related fields in the Yukon. It is especially relevant for social workers, community support workers, child welfare staff, mental health and addictions counselors, youth workers, and family support providers.
Educators, healthcare professionals, justice system personnel, and nonprofit staff who support individuals and families affected by FASD will also benefit. Students and new practitioners in these fields are encouraged to attend.
Participants should be seeking practical tools, applied strategies, and a deeper understanding of how to effectively support individuals impacted by FASD in their daily work.
