WO CE88 - Capital Development Funding for First Nation Water & Wastewater Projects

This 3-day intensive workshop-style course is designed to strengthen the capacity of First Nation governments and operators to secure and manage capital infrastructure funding. This course uses a practical, scenario-based approach.

Over three days, you will work collaboratively on mock capital development projects. These exercises will take you through stages of the project pathway—concept and feasibility, design considerations, funding proposal development, procurement, and project management.

This course is grounded in Yukon realities and guided by a two-eyed seeing approach—integrating Indigenous governance, consultation, and stewardship values with established Western infrastructure management practices. Participants will leave with tools, templates, and experience that are directly applicable to their community roles.
