WO CE87 - On-Site Training for Nunavik Water Operators

The On-Site Training for Nunavik Water Operators will introduce participants to the fundamentals of water operations in Canada’s North, including

essential processes, equipment, safety and operational procedures. This course will

provide foundational knowledge and hands-on experience for those who are in or entering

the field of water utilities or seeking to enhance their existing knowledge.

By the end of the course, participants will:

Be able to describe the concepts of operator liability.
Understand the basic principles of water systems, including water sources,
treatment processes, water distribution and bulk water hauling.
Be able to identify and describe common water treatment processes such as
coagulation, flocculation, filtration, and disinfection (UV and chlorination).
Gain knowledge of the equipment used in water systems and their operations.
Understand basic troubleshooting and maintenance practices.
