PERS CE04 - The Able Human

Our lives are made up of relationships and connections in our social and work environments with other humans. The depth of a relationship or connection is based on trust and an understanding who you are and who that other person is. In this workshop, we will explore some practical approaches to understand, build, maintain, and repair human relationships. We will introduce you to a simple and effective facilitation approach that ensures everyone gets to participate. This facilitation approach will be practiced by the participant to explore the various topics during this workshop.

Here are some of the topics that we will be exploring:
• The principals of cooperation – the drive to always “win”
• The “trust” factor in all relationships
• Who are you? Core Values and Personalities
• Communication basics (Listening and Speaking)
• Automatic listening – perceptions and biases
• The need to be right – the nature of conflicts
• Understanding “change”
Building strong effective relationships starts with you. Our hope is that you will come away with a better understanding of who you are and your impacts (good and bad) that you may be having on others. The workshop will provide you with some practical hands-on approaches you can use to improve your relationships.
