This course will review underlying factors which affect the economies of Indigenous communities and examine different approaches to Indigenous economies, including community, alternative, corporate, and entrepreneurial business approaches. Indigenous perspectives to Indigenous Economic Development will be a principal theme. The objective of the course will be to assess approaches to the identification, planning, and implementation of economic strategies for Indigenous communities.

Registration in NS 330 is restricted to students in the Northern Environmental and Conservation Sciences degree.

NS 330 is delivered as a cross-list with FNGA 304 and ECDV 301. Students in the Indigenous Governance program should register in FNGA 304 and students in the Bachelor of Business Administration program should register in ECDV 301.
