MATH 030 – Basic Mathematics

Basic Mathematics builds skills with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, data, graphs, statistics, measurement systems, and geometry. It also introduces concepts involving real numbers and algebra. This course prepares students for an intermediate algebra course.
Math 030 is equivalent to Foundations of Mathematics and Pre-calculus 10 or Intermediate-Developmental Mathematics in the BC Adult Basic Education (ABE) Articulation Handbook.

Prerequisite(s): Minimum of 65% in Math 020 or Math 9 or equivalent, or suitable scores on the math placement assessment.
