ESL 031 - Intermediate Speaking and Listening

This course is intended to introduce students to the English speaking and listening skills required for academic studies. The speaking skills include engaging in class discussions, participating in debates and delivering short presentations using pronunciation, tone and register that is comprehensible to native speakers. The listening skills include understanding the main ideas and purposes of short, simple presentations and lectures, and starting to predict and infer ideas in more complex materials.
