ENVM 096 - Terrestrial Monitoring II

In this course, students build an understanding of terrestrial-based biological monitoring and sampling techniques, including those used with plants and wildlife. Students will develop skills and attitudes required for success in the field. Multiple perspectives and ways of knowing will be explored, using Northern and culturally relevant examples.

The course is delivered in a remote camp setting and involves nine consecutive days of hands-on participation from students. Through land-based activities, students will develop skills necessary for a career in environmental monitoring as well as those required for remote field work.
