ENVM 092 - Environmental Monitoring 2

This course explores multiple perspectives on the environment and environmental monitoring, focusing on integration, decision-making, and independence during monitoring projects. Students will engage with case study analysis as well as integrated field sampling techniques. Western and indigenous perspectives and ways of knowing will be explored, using Northern and culturally-relevant examples.

The course is delivered in a remote camp setting and involves nine consecutive days of hands-on participation from students. Land-based activities will be used to develop skills relevant to beginning a career in environmental monitoring and to develop skills required for remote field work.
