EL 204 - Early Learning Practicum 2

Developing a thriving practice in Early Learning can be viewed through the metaphor of a tree. Foundations for Practice establishes the roots that will center the future. Practicum 1 can be seen as the strong trunk from which all other growth emerges. Practicum 2 finds us extending our branches as we reach for new experience and insights, and Practicum 3 invites us to consider the buds that burst forth into the world.

In Practicum 2, we utilize well established roots and trunk to grow branches of practice as an early childhood educator. Thinking and learning are cyclical like seasons, Early Learning Practicums 2 and 3 can be considered seasons, leaves of thinking and hypothesis will fall and nourish the roots and trunk of the tree for further development of thinking and growth. In this practicum, students are invited to ignite inquiries through the sparks of children’s curiosities.

This course is restricted to students in the Early Learning program
