Website Winners
Whitehorse – Three lucky people are the winners of the Yukon College Winning Start draw. The draw opened during Education Week in mid-April and closed the day before the newly implemented June 1 Course Registration date.
Congratulations to the following winners:
1st prize – One semester of tuition at Yukon College valued at $1350.00

The draw was launched to increase awareness of the new programs and courses pages on the Yukon College website. In addition, in a further attempt to “green” college practices, the college is working to encourage the public to access course and program information online, rather than using a printed course calendar. “We are pleased with the growing number of visitors on our website,” says Jacqueline Bedard, Director of College Relations. “This medium assists our environmental efforts and is a more current means for information updates.”
The Yukon College website was noted by a national academic market intelligence group, Academica Group, which is a media source for post-secondary educational institutions. The redesigned homepage came out last week on the new website which was launched in the Fall 2009 semester.
