We know many of you are wondering when you will be able to travel to Yukon. COVID-19 has made international travel complicated, and while we can’t wait to welcome you to Yukon University, we want to make sure you have the most up-to-date and accurate information about cross-border travel so you can plan with the risks and restrictions in mind.
*IMPORTANT: There are new travel restrictions which will impact international students who choose to travel to Canada.
Yukon Territory self-isolation restrictions are being removed effective August 4th. International Students arriving after that date will still have to follow all government of Canada travel restrictions.
After August 9th 2021, the requirement to stay at a hotel in the city or arrival will be eliminated for all travelers. Students will be able to arrive and proceed directly to the Yukon.
As requirements are change, we recommend that any students considering travel plans review both the latest requirements from the Government of Canada and check the regional Yukon Territory requirements.
Students should be aware that there may be significant financial additional cost to travel at this time above the usual expenses of travelling.
