Evacuation is required when a fire alarm sounds or when directed by Safety and Security Services, emergency responders, or Fire Wardens. Leave the building immediately and follow instructions.
During an Evacuation
- Stop work and leave the area immediately.
- Close doors behind you but do not lock them.
- Use the nearest safe exit or follow posted evacuation routes.
- Do not use elevators.
- Follow directions from Fire Wardens (wearing safety vests/helmets and carrying radios).
- Assist anyone who requires help evacuating.
- Proceed to the designated Muster Point and remain there.
- Do not re-enter the building until the "All Clear" is given.
If You Cannot Evacuate
- Move to a safe location and close doors between you and the hazard.
- Call 911 and provide your exact location if possible.
- Block smoke from entering under doors using clothing or fabric.
Stay low to avoid smoke and signal for assistance if needed.
