The Northern Dialogues Conference, coordinated by a small team of organizers from several universities with leading contributions from Yukon University and the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundationwill bring together perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing rural, northern, and Indigenous communities in Canada.

Specifically, the event will highlight the implications of "remoteness" for sustainable livelihoods. Dialogue will focus on themes like innovation, education, health, social systems, culture, heritage, and wellbeing.

The committee invites researchers, educators, leaders, community members, policymakers, and practitioners to submit proposals for oral presentations, poster presentations, workshops, and panel discussions that focus on the following themes:

  • Innovation and Community Development
  • Education, Health, and Social Systems
  • Culture, Heritage, and Wellbeing
  • Anything else related to rural and northern life.
