Research in Progress talk: Impacts of ship noise on Arctic marine mammals

Research in Progress Seminar Series
Join Tara Howatt and William Halliday to talk about how changes to the marine environment are impacting whales and other organisms in the western Canadian Arctic.

Tara Howatt is an Assistant Professor at YukonU and will discuss her research on using autonomous underwater vehicles for studying the impacts of ocean conditions and underwater noise on marine mammals in the Arctic.

William Halliday is a Conservation Scientist and Arctic Acoustic Program Lead with Wildlife Conservation Society Canada based in Whitehorse, and an adjunct professor in the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of Victoria.
