The Ukrainian Canadian Association of Yukon (UCAY) - Humanitarian Missions to Ukraine

The School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) has invited Dr. Grant Zazula, who works with the Ukrainian Canadian Association of Yukon (UCAY), to talk about the work of the association and about their upcoming humanitarian mission to Ukraine.

Please join us at Noon in the Anthropology/Geography lab, A2801, to hear about the situation in our Sister City of Chortkiv in western Ukraine, and the pressing needs there for medicines, humanitarian supplies, first aid, warm clothing, etc. Learn how you can help.

SSH is delighted to host this first in a speakers series that highlights the School's ongoing commitment to connect with the Yukon community and raise awareness of local, regional and global issues.

The School is keen to serve as a link between organizations and communities and the university, fostering dialogue that enriches our collective understanding. These conversations may also inform the development of future INTD courses and, we hope, will spark students' thinking about potential directions for their course assignments and capstone projects.

If you know of an organization that might be invited to speak, please contact the School at liberalarts@yukonu.ca (it still works).
