Are you an experienced fundraising professional who is ready to lead YukonU’s fundraising campaign, Together, for the North, at Canada’s newest university? Are you an enthusiastic champion of post-secondary student success with a proven history of securing significant philanthropic support from individuals and organizations?

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, University Relations, you will oversee developing and maintaining strategic alliances with community and industry partners, as well as national and international donors, while identifying and building relationships with Yukon University academic, research and student support programs.

You are a quick study, capable of understanding the needs of students, faculty, senior executives, and donors alike. You communicate effectively and work collaboratively and creatively to develop practical and constructive solutions that surpass expectations. You are an independent and self-driven team player and can build a burgeoning fundraising strategy into a mature, cohesive plan that will support and advance YukonU’s strategic goals over the next decade.

You will work directly with the Yukon University Foundation board and the YukonU leadership team to advise on and implement fundraising priorities, with the support of the broader marketing and communications team within the University Relations Department.

As a YukonU advocate, you are a persuasive storyteller who will promote and celebrate the creative and innovative work being done at the University across Yukon, the North, nationally and internationally, with the intent of forging strong partnerships with those excited by the potential of Canada’s first university North of 60.

As the ideal candidate, you have relevant post-secondary education and a minimum of three years’ experience in fundraising development and donor relations in a Canadian post-secondary education environment, or a similar type of organization. You have extensive knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in Canada, and you bring a vision of YukonU development potential. You can inspire and grow a small Development Office into an advancement powerhouse and are excited about the potential that post-secondary education provides to individuals.
