The Research Analyst is responsible for the execution and coordination of research activities at the Yukon Research Centre, including conducting research and data analysis activities, reporting, results communication, supervision, and partner liaison. You will be part of a team led by a principal investigator or equivalent senior researcher and will work closely and collaboratively with that team to deliver results on complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Duties include:
• Designing and carrying out research activities or experiments, and/or developing of new research techniques
• Conducting background research, literature reviews and/or interviews for research projects.
• Assisting in the coordination and execution of field research activities.
• Developing and maintaining on-going relationships with academic partners, industry, community and Indigenous partners
Qualifications:
• Relevant STEM university education with preference for a graduate level degree.
• Experience conducting relevant research and/or work experience in the electric power system engineering domain.
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and their application in a northern, cross-cultural setting
Research experience:
• Relevant Programming experience in relevant software such as: MATLAB, Labview, and/or Excel VBA, Solidworks, AutoCAD
• Collecting, recording, interpreting, and analyzing research results
• Writing reports, articles, and other communication activities on research findings.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of government and non-government organizations
