The Administrative Assistant position is responsible primarily for assisting the Centre for Northern Innovation in Mining (CNIM) staff by providing and monitoring a broad range of support services, primarily administrative in nature. This includes human resources, finance, administrative services, and other related duties to help serve CNIM clients effectively and fulfill the project mandate within Yukon University.
Qualifications include a certification in office or business administration or equivalent and related office experience. Applicants will have the ability to multitask various office procedures, including basic bookkeeping, word-processing, and customer service. The ideal candidate must have a working knowledge and understanding of working in a cross-cultural environment. The position utilizes Banner regularly for a variety of tasks, so proficiency in the use of data systems is essential.
