We are seeking a dynamic and organized Programs and Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of academic programs in Carmacks. This role combines administrative leadership with hands-on teaching responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to shape educational experiences in a northern context.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management
• Develop, implement, and oversee academic programs and courses offered at the Carmacks Campus.
• Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and resources to ensure smooth program delivery.
• Monitor program performance and student outcomes, recommending improvements as needed.
Community Engagement
• Collaborate with local organizations and stakeholders to align programs with community needs.
• Promote YukonU’s offerings through outreach and relationship-building.
Teaching
• Deliver selected courses within your area of expertise (subject areas may include adult education, business, or other relevant fields).
• Prepare course materials, facilitate learning, and assess student progress.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Applicants with demonstrated related skills and competencies (e.g. as acquired by working in FN or Yukon government) and strong community connections will be considered
• Experience in program coordination or academic administration.
• Experience in coordinating events or programming that creates a supportive environment for First Nation and other learners, including activities that support FN heritage,
• Teaching experience in a post-secondary or adult education setting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small campus environment and adapt to diverse learner needs.
