Position Overview:
Yukon University is seeking a dedicated professional to supervise our University Campus Store. Reporting to the Director of Hospitality Services, this position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and will play a key role in the financial and operational success of the store. The Supervisor ensures course materials, supplies, and merchandise are available on time, at fair value, and in alignment with university policies and standards. The Supervisor leads staff, manages inventory and vendor relations, and ensures the store meets financial and customer service goals. Some of the key responsibilities include merchandising to point of sales and financial procedures, working with faculty and publishers to ensure course materials are accurate, affordable, and delivered on time. This role will also monitor budget, sales, and inventory; prepare reports and oversee stock control.
Essential Qualifications:
• Proven supervisory experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Solid knowledge of retail systems-POS systems, databases-plus proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory management, promotional strategies, display methods, and marketing.
• Experience in online retail sales and website catalogue maintenance is considered an asset.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, inventory, and financial reporting in a retail environment.
• Post-secondary education in Business is an asset.
