Yukon University’s Development team is growing and we’re hiring a Donor Stewardship Officer. If you are creative and enjoy working in a professional, collaborative setting that supports people who care about education and our community then this position is perfect for you! The ideal candidate will join us with a high level of interest to contribute to fundraising initiatives, share donor insights, and strengthen relationships with the University’s community of support.  If you are a detail-oriented person with strong communication skills, an appreciation for bookkeeping, managing financial transactions, and a desire to work collaboratively with volunteers, prospective and current donors, staff, and faculty then we want to hear from you!

This detail-oriented position requires high accuracy and efficiency to coordinate financial transactions. This position handles sensitive and confidential files such as donor financial information, securities transfers and anonymous gifts. It also requires excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with Foundation Board members, prospective and current donors, staff and faculty. The ideal candidate will be a key contributor to Foundation Board and Development Office initiatives, sharing donor insights, enacting creative engagement activities, and strengthening relationships with the University’s community of support.

The ideal candidate has obtained a diploma, degree or comparable credential in office administration or in a similar field. You must have exceptional communication and organizational skills, be able to work independently as well as experience working in a cross-cultural environment. Candidates with several years’ experience providing financial administrative service in a related office environment may also be considered.
